“I’m so tired”
“Why?”
“I just got done moving all the chairs out of my apartment”
“For what?”
“So when you come over later the only place you’ll have to sit is on my face.”
No joke this worked for my friend on Tinder. Given that he tried over three dozen times doesn’t matter. He’s a soft 5 on a good day and I can say that because I’m comfortable with my sexuality. I’d say he got called up to the big show when that sequence finally landed, that’s right he was playing in Sevensville. This blog isn’t to talk about shitty pick up lines. It is intended to finally identify one of the best qualities to accompany grit and that’s “going for it.”
“Going for it” is a quality. Going for it is the kid who dunks the winning cup in beer pong. Going for it is the kid who usually had a cast on his arm growing up but 100% of people take him seriously when he says, “I’m about to ________.” I envy the going for it quality. Do you think you Reggie was “going for it” when he scored 8 points in 9 seconds? Do you think Neil Armstrong steps on the moon or does he step into a cubicle if he doesn’t go for it. All great things started with someone simply putting their money where there mouth is and I think it’s time to prop those people. Props to going for it, and everyone who does.
